In the digital era, cybersecurity has become an essential pillar for safeguarding sensitive data, critical infrastructure, and digital identities from unauthorized access, malicious attacks, and data breaches. As cyber threats grow in sophistication and frequency, fostering widespread awareness and collective responsibility is more important than ever.

Cybersecurity is not merely a technical issue but a shared responsibility encompassing governments, organizations, and individuals. Continuous education, training, and active engagement are essential to building a secure and resilient cyber ecosystem.

Human as the Weakest Link: Most cyber incidents occur due to lack of awareness or human error.

DOs

  • Use strong passwords (12–14 characters with mixed characters).
  • Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Keep operating systems, applications, and antivirus updated.
  • Install only authorized software from trusted sources.
  • Lock devices when not in use.
  • Maintain secure and encrypted data backups.
  • Report suspicious emails, links, or system behavior.
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts.
  • Use VPN on public Wi-Fi and secure your network.
  • Follow organizational IT and security policies.

  • Avoid weak or default passwords.
  • Do not ignore browser or antivirus warnings.
  • Do not leave devices unattended.
  • Avoid downloading software from untrusted sources.
  • Do not click unknown links or attachments.
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi for sensitive activities without protection.
  • Do not disable firewalls, antivirus, or encryption.
  • Do not connect unauthorized USB devices.
  • Avoid posting sensitive personal or organizational information online.
